Monrovia Memorial Hospital is currently hiring for FULL TIME CNA, FOR

FULL TIME – DAY/NIGHT SHIFTS (12 hrs.)

Experience working on an acute inpatient setting a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

• The Certified Nurse Assistant ( CNA ) assists the professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• The CNA will assists patients with activities of daily living and to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient, under the direction of the professional nursing personnel.
• The CNA will consults with and keeps supervising RN informed of unit activities, needs and problems related to patient care.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure and intake and output measurements in a timely manner. Prepares patient room and bed for admission and transfers and ensures necessary equipment in the room.
• The CNA assists in patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• The CNA assists with handling and care of patient belongings and other personal property.
• The CNA documents on the patient belonging record when the patient is admitted, transferred, or discharged.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current license as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of California.
• Current BLS certification.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion, and maintenance.
• Entry level Certified Nursing Assistant from an approved program.
• Six (6) months experience working in an acute inpatient setting preferred.
