  • Two (2) years’ experience as a supervisory role in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a charge nurse in acute care and/or subacute (preferred)
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks and people at the same time is frequently required to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Time-management skills are frequently utilized to prioritize tasks that present themselves throughout the course of the day.
Licensure/Certification /Education Requirements:
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
  • Current BLS
  • Current ACLS
Responsibilities include: Coordination of care:
  • The Nursing Supervisor assists in the coordination of the care and treatment for the adult or geriatric patients.
  • The Nursing Supervisor works collaboratively with department managers to influence patient care practices in the hospital.
Documentation & Reports:
  • Accurately and neatly completes written reports, projects tasks within an acceptable timeframe to include census reports, shift reports, staffing sheets, acuity reports, staffing hour’s summary, event reports,
  • Assists to maintain registry files and nursing office records neatly, accurately, and completely.
Supports maintaining the standards for the clinical practice of nursing, to include:
  • The delivery of nursing care model
  • The critical elements of the Hospital Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care
  • Implements current standards of care and practices that support clinical activities, as guided by policy and procedure.
  • Ensures that the Nursing department’s procedures are maintained.
  • Utilizes customer input as a mechanism for proposing nursing policy and improving care.
Serves as a professional role model to motivate the clinical staff
  • Routinely demonstrates expertise in clinical practice, providing immediate support to nursing staff for IV’s, special procedures, transcription of orders, patient assessment and emergency life safety procedures.
  • Ensures staff are competent to set-up, manage and operate equipment and supplies safely and correctly.
  • Effectively coordinates patient care, making rounds to assess operations and problem-solve in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Utilizes information from continuing education courses/programs to improve the practice of nursing and health care delivery system.
  • Recommends plans for personnel development and training needs of the staff by being aware of quality assurance indicators and event report investigations that identify staff performance-training needs.
  • Monitors employee compliance with documentation of a change in the patient’s condition pertinent to treatments and patient response to treatments in the patient medical record.
  • Obtains medications and/or supplies and/or medical records as needed to maintain safe, efficient, and therapeutic care to the patients on a continuing basis, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join our medical team. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs. This is a critical role in ensuring the accurate assessment and timely intervention for patients in need of cardiac monitoring. Responsibilities: - Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor provides Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary support for the assigned unit. · Continuously observes cardiac monitor readings, interpreting the readings and reporting results timely to the assigned Registered Nurse. · Assists in maintaining cardiac monitor equipment, reporting malfunctions timely to the Nursing Supervisor and Biomedical Technician for repair. · Transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signatures by the nursing staff. SUMMARY: Performs radiological procedures and testing based on approved departmental standards. Responsible for carrying out assignments and technical procedures in a manner that demonstrates proficiency, relative to the application of prescribed ionizing radiation, to facilitate medical diagnosis and treatment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Demonstrates knowledge in the theory, techniques and practices of radiology including modalities that he/she is licensed to perform. - Transports patients as instructed, to and from treatment area. - Demonstrates knowledge of the indications, contraindications, equipment and radiological testing procedures for adults and geriatric patients. - Demonstrates knowledge of radiological dyes, including dosages, side effects, indications and contraindications for the patient population served. - Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate patient positioning techniques for patient population served, based on functions ability and testing requirements. - Demonstrates the safe and efficient use of radiological equipment, which includes calibration, testing, maintenance of control logs and radiation protection. - Follows up with patient education regarding radiology tests and exams with the patient and/or family. - Maintains defined practice standards for the provision of diagnostic imaging. - Uses proper body mechanics when moving patients. - Files exams timely on the medical record. - Promotes patient and employee safety through demonstration of compliance with safety and infection control process. - Completes and keeps current all mandatory in-services, modules, competencies, licenses, and annual updates (professional licenses and certifications).
